To Reward or Punish?

So many questions, so many needs, so many problems, yet I don’t think that Pak Lah has done enough to look deep into these pressing issues. He’s more concerned about trying to retain his position and figuring how to “teach” the rakyat for voting the opposition. He’s already done that to Penang by pulling the plug on the monorail and Penang Outer Ring Road project worth some RM3b. That’s because he’s lost the whole state to the opposition effectively making him the first PM to come from an opposition state.

Analysis of the Permatang Pauh by Elections

Anwar received 2273 more majority votes bagging 15,671 compared to Wan Azizah’s 13,398. With the bigger majority, this means that he has 100.96% more votes than his competitor. To compare Azizah, only had a 79.04% lead over Datuk Pirdaus. With this majority, it represents 33.16% share of the total voter casted. This is 0.31% or 147 more votes than what Arif Shah had received.

Yes, the second tsunami that swept Permatang Pauh reverberates with a stronger call for “REFORMASI”. 31,195 voters who voted for Anwar has spoken for the rest of Malaysia. They want CHANGE and they made it heard through the ballot box yet again!

The Lesser of Three Evils

If this was a WWE wrestling match, it’ll probably be aired on RAW as the fight of the decade. This would be a handicapped match between PKR adviser Anwar versus BN tag-team champion Najib and Abdullah. The referee? The chairman of the EC, Ab Rashid Rahman. This is one show I wouldn’t want to miss!

It’s finally good to know that the Malacca YDP Negeri has also recognized this and awarded a Datukship to Malaysia’s badminton single’s silver medalist….Misbun Sidek. He truly deserves it for breeding a champion.

DAP truly multiracial?

I read an article on Malaysia Today. The headline read “DAP Makes Tunku Abdul Aziz vice-chairman”.

Its interesting to note that the DAP building and rebranding itself as a multiracial party. I think that the he party was probably born on the principles of a multi-racial, equal party for all regardless of race, religion or beliefs.
